During my early years as an architect apprentice, I quickly noticed a common issue: designs often overlooked critical factors such as construction budgets, energy efficiency, and the natural elements of lighting and ventilation. Clients frequently had beautiful plans but lacked the means or understanding to bring them to life effectively. Moreover, there was no consideration of construction logistics from the very beginning of the design process.

This realization led me to specialize in bioclimatic architecture, which I explored in-depth during my thesis. In my professional practice, I decided to apply these principles to luxury beach homes, a core focus of our office. By combining sustainability with elegance, we create homes that are not only visually stunning but also functionally efficient and environmentally conscious.

At RLA Studio, we primarily serve international clients who often face the challenge of designing and building in Nicaragua. Our mission is to provide more than just a design service—we offer an experience. Through our bioclimatic design approach, we deliver exceptional luxury homes that meet North American standards, all while maintaining transparency, ethical practices, and a deep commitment to each client’s vision.
